Merry Christmas!

We've been sooooo busy having fun that I haven't posted in a while.  Here are some of the things we've been up to in December......

We're studying 2D & 3D shapes in math.  Creating these Gingerbread houses is the perfect review. Rectangular prism Hershey bars for the door, tootsie rolls for the cylinder chimney, a milk carton cube as the actual house, gumdrop cylinders, candy corn cones, the list goes on and on!!!!!

Leftover Halloween candy helped with our creations!

Hibernation

It's Hibernation Day in Room #10!  We just finished A Bed for Winter and decided to investigate how animals adapt, migrate, and hibernate during the winter. Each child brought in an animals that hibernates from home.

Thanksgiving

It's Turkey Time!!!

These are our kiddos Turkey Projects that they completed with their families.  Each is in disguise to avoid being eaten.  :)

(A few of our friends were absent when these were taken; sorry!)

This is our class turkey.  Each child created a feather with his/her family and we presented them to the class.  Next, we placed them around the body.

Here are some of the things we've made over the past couple of weeks.
